Usage

Primer-600 is a ready for use product, used as primer to improve the bond strength of a range of self-adhering membranes including Air & Vapour Control layers and carrier membranes.

Consumption depends on the roughness and absorbency of the substrate and ranges from 150 g/m2 (approx 0.18 l/m2) to 500 g/m2 (approx 0.6 l/m2)
Application steps

SUBSTRATE QUALITY

The substrate must offer sufficient strength and adhesion to resist the forces generated by wind suction.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate must be solvent resistant, firm, clean, dry, free of foreign objects and stripping agents as well as free of oil and grease.

APPLICATION

Apply only in dry weather at temperatures of at least +5 °C. Before applying ensure that the substrate is clean, dry, free of grease.
If heavily contaminated or oiled, sheet metal must be cleaned with cleaner before applying the primer.

Primer-600 is ready for use and may not be thinned or mixed with other products.
Before use stir the primer vigorously. Apply a uniform, thin coat of Primer-600 to the area, which will be installed the same day. Absorbent substrates may require two coats. Allow sufficient drying time.

Drying time depends greatly on the weather, the characters of the substrate, and amount of primer applied but is approximately 30 minutes. Let the primer dry so it is no longer tacky.

Tools: Use brush or roller.

Tools and equipment must be cleaned with cleaner immediately after use.
