Sika® PU Accelerator

One-component liquid catalyst to accelerate curing of Sikalastic® and Sikafloor® products

Sika® PU Accelerator is designed to increase the cure rate of Sikalastic® and Sikafloor® products to facilitate a faster application and reduce downtime in areas where a rapid return to service is required.

Usage

Accelerator to shorten the curing time of:
  • Decothane® Base Coat
  • Decothane® Top Coat
  • Sikalastic®-625N
  • Sikafloor®-420
  • Sikafloor®-425

Storage Conditions

The product must be stored properly in original, unopened and undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions at temperatures > 0 °C and < +25 °C.
Higher storage temperatures may reduce shelf life of product.
Reference shall also be made to the storage recommendations within the safety data sheet.

Mixing Ratio

~1 % by weight

Pack of 60 g is used to accelarate 5 l of Sikalastic® or Sikafloor® product

Pack of 180 g is used to accelerate 15 l of Sikalastic® or Sikafloor® product

Ambient Air Temperature

Relative Air Humidity

Dew Point

Beware of condensation.
The substrate and uncured coating must be ≥ 3 °C above dew point to reduce the risk of condensation or blooming on the wall finish.

Waiting Time / Overcoating

Refer to the specific product data sheet for accelerated drying times.
Application steps

MIXING

Sika® PU Accelerator is added to the specific Sikalastic® or Sikafloor® product on site at the time of application and mixed manually or mechanically at slow speed to prevent aeration. Mix with electric drill and paddle.
