Sika Liquid Plastics  works in partnership with Quality Assured (QA) Contractors to provide a complete and effective solution for clients. The Sika Liquid Plastics Quality Assured Contractor Programme was founded in 2001, and continues to be an integral part of our full service package.

Why choose a Quality Assured Contractor?
Guaranteed Workmanship

1. GUARANTEED WORKMANSHIP

The Sika Liquid Plastics guarantee offers a single point of responsibility which only QA Contractors can apply for. This guarantee ensures that the client is protected against the failure of watertightness caused by incorrect design, defective materials, contractor insolvency or poor workmanship. Guarantees can provide coverage for 10, 15, 20 and 25 years, and are supported by Sika’s AAA credit rating.

Comprehensive Audit

2. COMPREHENSIVE AUDIT PROCESS

The programme withstands stringent and demanding entry criteria, and a code of practice, to offer clients security and assurance, therefore members must undergo regular office audits to ensure the contractor follows excellent working practices and procedures.

Expert Training

3. EXPERT TRAINING

QA Contractors’ management teams and installers receive full training in all application techniques and products, conducted by our experienced, dedicated Sika Roofing Applications team. All training takes place in our purpose-built Training Academy at Sika Liquid Plastics’ offices in Preston and new members must first become trained as Verified Contractors before moving on to QA Contractor status.

Dedicated Technical Support

4. DEDICATED TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Our Technical Services team assists clients and QA Contractors in the selection of the most appropriate systems, offers free technical support throughout, and produces tailor-made specifications to meet the needs of individual projects. Specifications can also be supplemented with U-Value calculations, CAD Drawings,  BIM objects, and thermographic imagery.

Aftercare

5. PROJECT SIGN OFF AND AFTERCARE

On-site project support is provided throughout by our Applications team, consisting of highly skilled roofing experts who offer technical advice, guidance, and conduct regular comprehensive inspections. Once the project is completed, and the highest level of workmanship has been reached, the guarantee will be issued. All details will then be provided in the ‘We Care’ After Care Pack.

Training Courses for Roofing Contractors
Applicator Training

SIKA LIQUID PLASTICS APPLICATOR TRAINING

The training course, designed exclusively for our Quality Assured contractors, focuses on the correct application and installation techniques for installing Sika Liquid Plastics Roofing Systems.

The two day training course is designed to ensure that the Contractors understand the requirements of working on Sika Liquid Plastics roofing systems combining a mixture of theory, demonstrations, chat, videos and practical application work. All trainees finish with a theory based test, to ensure that the contractors have listened and learnt throughout the two days. Comprehensive information is provided on the content of the course allowing trainees to concentrate on practical elements.

BCP Training

BASIC COMPETENCY PROGRAMME (BCP)

The 'Basic Competency Programme (BCP)' which has been developed as a roofing industry initiative and lead by the Liquid Roofing and Waterproofing Association (LRWA). This is the first time that manufacturers' training has been officially recognised and has been seen to satisfy the requirements of a red, experienced worker Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.

The programme is aimed at experienced operatives with a minimum of two years’ experience on site. Having obtained a BCP Certificate an operative can then apply to upgrade from a green card to a red, experienced worker CSCS card, with immediate effect assuming their standard health and safety accreditation is up to date. The operative should then work towards achieving a blue skilled worker card within three years.
